Rich warm toned fuchi kashira set in copper with nanako groundwork. These are Higo influenced pieces from Late Edo period (19th century). The fuchi has a central channel around the circumference, and the kashira has the ubiquitous higo style "ichinomiya" s-shaped channel in the top. The nanako is in good condition on both, with minor disturbance of the pattern on the kashira.
The fuchi measures 37.5 mm x 23 mm and the kashira 34 mm x 19.5 mm. The kashira also has very nice shakudo two-piece shitodome.
